Trust

I was wondering when did humans become so un-trusty?

I mean, if somebody asks you a direct question and you answer it, why aren’t people sure that what you said is the truth? Why do you have to demonstrate that it’s the truth? Of course, this is acceptable when you and the other person don’t know each other so well. But what if this happens between friends, between family members? Why is lack of trust so present in our lives? Why do you always have to come with proof that what we say is true?

My dream is that some day we can all have enough self-confidence to be ourselves, to say what we think and be what we are. In this dreamland, people would tell you if your clothes are a mess and not some fashion outfit. If they’d tell you something,  you would consider that the truth and if you meet somebody you don’t like you don’t have to smile and play a role of friend.

But that’s just a utopia.

A utopia is not possible, that’s why it’s an utopia. 🙂 But it would be nice to have one at hand. For the time being…as you said, the best that we know of today. But I’d like to know that tomorrow we know more and do more.

Humanity was never trusty. But individuals can be. It’s a matter of choice. They can be. And I do know. 3 really great words I come to understand that are possible.

You don’t always have to show proof of what you say it’s true. And about the utopia, is a utopia really possible? I think only „this is the best that we know of today” is possible and maybe tomorrow it will change. And back to your first question, have we ever been trusty as humanity? I don’t know. As individuals? I don’t know…3 really hard words to accept sometimes.

Well…I kind of hate society. But I love people. And the best for people is to always know reality, to be aware of what’s happening around them. Dreaming is OK, but only by choice, not because of thinking something is true, when it isn’t.

As for not hurting other’s feelings…I prefer knowing the truth than a lie. I mean….if I am wearing an awful make-up and everybody says it looks great on me so they won’t hurt my feelings…it’s not OK. And if I say nasty things and nobody tells me that this is not OK, and if somebody is making a terrible mistake and they ask me if it’s OK what they are doing and I don’t tell them just because I don’t want to make them feel bad…

It’s called „society” – and unfortunately we all help growing it the way it is. There are things that we don’t say for fear of hurting others’ feelings, there are things that we hide because of our own insecurities, and there are things we lie about because the human society in which we live is used to point with the finger and condemn, instead of understand and accept. Like all simple topics, this one is actually outrageously complicated…
